I always like playing King difficulty in Civilization 2, which is the first Civilization game in my book. The second is far superior in difficulty, strategy, depth, graphics, and board. I played Europe map, I played as the Celts and was in Brittania, a good spot, I saw a a French enemy on the map, and I knew I had to win on ship, win on island, and try to beat the French. This would be similar to the French and English wars across the 1600s and 1700s.

I built 4 cities in England.

I wanted to control England. I wanted to conquer France. I knew the French were not the enemy. I had to explore.

The French had legion. I had Elephant attacks. I have Monarchy. I have Chariot Attack. I failed to attack cities. I also tried to attack with horse.

I was curious about the Russian map. I was curious about the peninsulass of Greece and Italy. I thought I could find Scandinavia, but found that Greece and italy were unhabited. There were Japanese in Scandinavia. In Early BC, I was still the #1 on the board. The French were not that strong. I was trying to win with Ship. The English, or the island of England, was always good with ship. I was able to conquer some of Italy, Spain, North Africa, Norway, and Greece by using Settlers.

The Game was a win after that. I strategize insanely. I could not beat the French. The Japanese started winning. There were no real losses. I can call this a Chess Win, a Go loss. The Game of Chess is designed to win for a player; the game of Go likes losses.

You can get in pay on Chess. You can get in pay on Go. You can get in pay on Civilization. I was offered Cigarettes for some reason, and kept winning on coffee.

What is the win? I stopped playing after this. The Earth map is very fun to play, but for some reason I cannot win yet on Earth maps in Civilization 4. That is my next recommendation: to play Civilization 4. You must keep your original disc, get an old pc, and play the original game. I say it pays off things. I say you can master Civ 2 and Civ 4, but it must take some skill.
